Mission Planning

I have two short term mission experiences. I came to Kenya and Brundi in Africa via Thailand in 1997. The other one is to visit Alma Ata, Kazakhstan in 2000. These were so important turning  point to me. I opened my heart about oversea's mission through that experiences and also I knew what needs in mission fields.

The mission trip in Alma Ata, Kazakhstan, particularly gave me a big challenge and vision. Kazakhstan and Central Asia were very new for me until I prepared to go there. When I started to prepare the mission trip, however, I realized that God's heart stays in the land. His eagerness and love for the people of the land were awakened me.

Now the land has been changed to call many people to harvest. There are Islamic powers on that land but it has been a little bit opened to evangelize in many situations. And Alma Ata which is the opening door of Silk Road is the starting point. The Silk Road is the way to go Central Asia where is so big and wide area. I'm sure if we have a mission base in Alma Aya, it can have lots of mission possibilities for whole Central Asia. I expect we start to work from this mission base in Alma Ata, then it can be effect the whole Central Asia to change the Islamic powers.

On this respect, I love Alma Ata firstly and I'll do my best to save souls in the land. There are still a lot of Russian remains, so I think they need educational ministries for children, teenagers and the youth. Missionary Kim Sanggil works for that at the moment, I also want to cooperate with him in my best. In addition, when the Alma Ata Presbyterian Seminary is settled in, it can be become a very important role to bear many native ministries.

Finally, I'll try to plan many suitable ministries for the natives after I get surrounding informations of the land. Like this I do my best to save souls through God's loving mission.
